What is duchenne muscular dystrophy

DMD in short – Is a muscle wasting disease. The Body is unable to produce the dystrophin. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is normally diagnosed between the ages of 4 to 6. Usually by their teenage years. DMD sufferers are confined to wheel Chairs and deteriorate from their body, muscle by muscle. Eventually the lungs and heart give in to the ravages of the disease. 90% of DMD patients do not live to celebrate their 20th birthday. The Disease has 100% death strike rate, No child has survived to date.
